The Water is Rising is a five piece metal band from the Isle of Man. Made up of members from now defunct acts Fist of Cain, Romero, Leagues and Durgan Mortice, we got together with the intention of writing songs we really wanted to hear. From out and out brutal metal with a technical bent to melodic, progressive seven minute opuses, we eschew traditional song structure in favour of starting with an idea and seeing where the hell it ends up.

After a couple of early personnel changes slowed progress until the right lineup finally came together, we are now working flat out to get our music heard by as many people as possible. In september 2013 we travelled to Aberdeen in sunny Scotland and recorded our first, self titled album with ubertalented producer Nick Scholey. Over the next year we plan to gig regularly both here and in the UK and see if we can make our mark...
