ATP
For the record, who's answering the interview?
SHINDIG AVENUE
This is Jeff from Shindig Avenue.

ATP
Shindig Avenue…we try to cultivate a party atmosphere, and the word "Shindig" just kinda stuck.
SHINDIG AVENUE
I play guitar, John Wheatley is on bass, and Ryan Turi is on drums. We all sing.

ATP
So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?
SHINDIG AVENUE
We have punk, rock, and ska influences…but I think we have a little different take on the punk/ska sound than most bands.

ATP
How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?
SHINDIG AVENUE
We have punk, rock, and ska influences…but I think we have a little different take on the punk/ska sound than most bands.

ATP
What bands have influenced each of you?
SHINDIG AVENUE
It's hard to say, because we all have our own influences, but I would lean towards Rancid, Sublime, AFI, and maybe a little Against Me as well.

ATP
How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?
SHINDIG AVENUE
hahaha we play a lot...

ATP
How would you describe your shows?
SHINDIG AVENUE
Our live shows are known for being pretty energetic, with a lot of audience participation

ATP
Tell us about your favorite show and why?
SHINDIG AVENUE
Our album release at LOADED on Hollywood Blvd was great. Lots of support and just a great overall atmosphere.

ATP
Tell us about your worst show and why?
SHINDIG AVENUE
I had a show where my footswitch broke, so that kinda sucked.

ATP
Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?
SHINDIG AVENUE
I can't speak for Jon and Ryan, but personally, I would love to play a packed show at The Roxy or Viper room with Gaslight Anthem, and The Menzingers.

ATP
Do you have a street team and how can you join?
SHINDIG AVENUE
Right now, we do not, but check out website for future reference!

ATP
Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?
SHINDIG AVENUE
We are unsigned, but if the right fit presents itself, that would be great.

ATP
What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?
SHINDIG AVENUE
To play as often as we can, get our songs recorded, and get our music into as many ears as possibly

ATP
Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?
SHINDIG AVENUE
Arm the Pit gives us hope that there are still people out there who listen to and support real, homegrown music. Keep up the good work and rock on!
