Wintercold was setup in early 2008 as a one man band. In the beginning it was more gothic inspired black/funeral doom metal with a lot of ambient elements in it, but more and more have atmospheric black metal and neofolk become a more natural thing in the band. But it is dark and experimental metal so anything can happen. Also old school thrash metal and speed metal can be found in Wintercolds music.
