Q15 Most people will never know what it feels like to be on stage in front of a crowd, what does that feel like?
It is fun when the crowd is into it, you feel like you are doing what you need to be doing, and that is entertaining people. but if they are not it can really work on your emotions.
Q16 Describe your typical stage show performance. What might we expect at your show and why we should go?
It is exciting! Lots of interaction with the crowd, stories, and audience participation. There are lots of guitar solos, and I play the guitar behind my head.
Q17 Tell us about your most memorable gig and why it was so great?
I liked playing at the Pig n' Whistle in Hollywood California, because everyone there was looking for something different, I I totally hit the nail on the head that night!
Q18 Tell us about your worst gig and why it was so bad?
Probably when I was on tour in South Dakota in July, and the tour vans air-co went out. It was so hot, and then the van quit running all together. Some of our family and friends came and got us. The van was towed to a local repair shop, and the family went back up a few days later to get it (the air still was not running) and drive it home.
Q19 Tell Us About Your Dream Gig, who youd like to play with, where?
I would like to open for the Presidents of the United States of America band.
Q20 Do you believe commercial/mainstream music has had a negative effect on new music, why or why not?
probably not, because people that like real music don't listen to mainstream, and people that like mainstream aren't music fans. But the general public thinks they know what good music is.
Q21 Has the internet really been helpful to your promotion, why or why not?
Yep. It is much easier to get my message out there, samples, and shows.
Q22 Can you name a few of your favorite places on the web for band promotions?
Reverb Nation, Facebook, Arm the Pit, Postlogger.com, soundcloud.
Q23 Do you have a website, tell us about it?
www.Facebook.com/DangerousDougHarper
Q24 Do you have a street team and how can you join?
A very small one on Reverb nation. You can join street team by emailing me directly at localear@yahoo.com
Q25 Are you looking to get a record deal, why or why not?
I have a small thing going now, it is good, if a beter thing came along, I might go for it, but only if it is good.
Q26 What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?
To be touring about 100 shows a year!
Q27 Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?
I think Arm the Pit is a great place to get your music out there, and they truly care about you on a personal level. This is something that you don't get at the other music pages. Someone right there promoting your music for you!
