Dieter, Roland, Timo Our band’s name is Bürger Würger (Bürger = citizen, Würger = stranglers) because we didn’t found a sillier name and it rhymes

Roland: Public servant and fanatic wheel chair tester. Timo: Employee of Bürger Würger, surrogate punk, Lord of the pots Dieter: Computer scientist, punk wizard

Just one word: Schpaudl-Punk
Q4 Why did you each of you start playing music and was there a turning point from becoming the dream child that every mother and father hopes their child will become before discovering music? Why did music become a career choice for you?
We always have had our own minds and punk is a good possibility to express our lifestyles.
Q5 What instruments do you each play? How did you learn to play, self-taught or school?
Timo: drums, Dieter: guitar, Roland: bass We all learnt it on our own
Q6 What bands have influenced each of you?
Roland: Ramones, Die Toten Hosen Timo: too much to list here Dieter: Sex Pistols, Siouxsie and the Banshees

We invented the Schpaudl-Punk and we are the only one, who play this kind of sound.
Q8 Do you write your own music? If not, who writes the music?
Yeah, we write our own music.
Q9 What inspires the songs you write?
Roland: daily life Timo: the 70‘ties, flower power, love, hate, and everything in between Dieter: stupid people
Q10 How long does it take you to write a song that’s ready to record?
Some songs we wrote 15 years ago and record them now. But some of the new songs we record after one month
Q11 How would you describe your local music scene? Likes, Dislikes. What would you change?
Dislikes: Big discotheques: too much hiphop. Too many blues musicians (Timo: not for me) Likes: 2 clubs where good bands are playing (e.g. The Briefs, UK Subs)
Q12 What is your favorite local venue? Why?
Contrast: It's still possible to play punk rock there
Q13 Whats the biggest problem you find when working with other bands, booking agents, promoters and venues when settting up a show or a tour?
There are lot of bands and too less venues. The guys of the venues let us feel that everytime.
Q14 How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?
We are on stage for 15 years, but every show is unique. So we enter the stage like virgins and leave it like whores.
