Przemek Murzyn, lead guitarist, song writer.

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

ROADHOG

The band name is Roadhog. It comes actually from Slade's song 'Gypsy's roadhog' but it fits to us cos we're kinda speed maniacs on the road.

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

ROADHOG

Krzysiek Tabor - bass guitar and voice
Maciek Szupik - lead guitar
Michał Kozioł - drums
Przemek Murzyn - lead guitar

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

ROADHOG

We were very focused to make our sound very raw and old school. Our producer, Olof Wikstrand, did good job about it. The point was that we wanted to create sound which brings association to 80's heavy/speed metal stuff. I think catchy riffs, memorable solos and choruses makes us unique. But we don't want to be something new in the metal scene so far. Roadhog is some kind of a tribute to the greatest 80's heavy metal bands. We want to keep that spirit alive!

What bands have influenced each of you?

ROADHOG

There are plenty of them. Everyone of us have different influences but we have tons of them common. That's really great because we know what our destination point is and what sound and music we want to create. If I was forced to list some of bands that influenced on Roadhog mostly it would be probably Accept, Judas Priest, Running Wild, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Exciter, King Diamond, Grave Digger, Saxon...

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

ROADHOG

Rather virgin. Till now we haven't played as many gigs as we would like to. But we're about to change it as soon as possible because of premiere of our debut album.

How would you describe your shows?

ROADHOG

Pure heavy metal. Sharp sound and cool 'image' and best after parties...

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

ROADHOG

It's hard to choose the only one, the best. We are very happy when the sound is great and when exposure guy do his work well. When the audience is good the show must be good as well.

Tell us about your worst show and why?

ROADHOG

Actually the worst one was when our second guitarist was totally drunk on a stage. It's obvious to sound inexperienced band not to overdose before the show but sometimes it's rough, you know ;)

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

ROADHOG

Dream line up: Roadhog-King Diamond-Judas Priest-Black Sabbath... It's enough. Even more would kill us by happiness ;) The place doesn't play any role then.

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

ROADHOG

We are local band and many of our 'fans' are our good old friends. The best way to support us is to find and 'like us' on facebook :)

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

ROADHOG

Yes we have. We are lucky to be on Stormspell Records rooster now.

ATP

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

ROADHOG

After release of our debut album Dreamstealer we want to do some gigs, maybe the small tour would be possible. After that we are about to record second studio album cause it's mostly done. After that maybe we find bigger label and sign worldwide well paid contract ;) Who knows

Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?

ROADHOG

Promotion and support. We all need to keep underground scene alive. There are tons of great young bands without chance to promote their stuff. It's sad but nowadays it's extremely hard to beat competitors without help of your label or without...money.
