For the record, who's answering the interview?
MADWORK
Hallo, this is Jago speaking, I'm the singer of the electronic-metal band MADWORK.

ATP
What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?
MADWORK
We loved the idea of something crazy (MAD) and something else serious (WORK) mixed together, so the name of the band reflects the internal main moods of the band (working, yes, but in a crazy way!).

ATP
So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?
MADWORK
We're five musicians, as follows:
- Jago: vocals
- Trigger: bass guitars
- Binko: keys and electronics
- Deimos: guitars
- Spike: drums
There's a sixth element, our Producer Marzio "Mr. Z", that is deeply involved in songwriting and arrangement. Even if he doesn't play in the band, he actually is a stable member of Madwork.

ATP
How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?
MADWORK
We always try to balance between energy and melody. Dropped guitars, electronic loops, hard drumming: all is bounded to melody! This is our trademark.

ATP
What bands have influenced each of you?
MADWORK
Many and again many bands!!! As an average answer I'd say: mainly Depeche Mode and Linkin Park.

ATP
How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?
MADWORK
We started MADWORK in 1999, so the band is well experienced performing live gigs on stage, did it a lot of times since the beginning. But as you can easily imagine, each experience improves people, and let me say that in 2013/14 we had a series of concerts (in the East of Europe and with important artists - like Hatesphere and Hypocrisy for instance) that made our live skills grow more than ever.

ATP
How would you describe your shows?
MADWORK
Exactly as our music is: a balance between heart and mind, technical and emphatical at the same time. A strong and direct interaction with the people in front of us.

ATP
Tell us about your favorite show and why?
MADWORK
Maybe the two shows that took place here in Italy, in 2014, supporting Tarja Turunet during her "Colors on the Road" Tour. First of all because they took place in theatre locations, so very intimistic ambients I'd say, and then because we played in our country, something we had decided to stop for a while.

ATP
Tell us about your worst show and why?
MADWORK
Don't know!!!

ATP
Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?
MADWORK
Every show we perform is the reaching of a dream, becoming reality. Of course, the most professional is the contest, the most interesting results to us!

ATP
Do you have a street team and how can you join?
MADWORK
Not yet. We're thinking about it, actually. But it's not usual here in Italy... so we use traditional channels (Youtube and Facebook)

ATP
Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?
MADWORK
We're in the roster of Italian historical label "Underground Symphony Records", and at the moment we're producing our third studio album.

ATP
What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?
MADWORK
Of course, having a strong interest in music production, we are planning a new album, some strong promotion worldwide and some gigs around Europe, just to start.

ATP
Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?
MADWORK
We are grateful for your interest in Madwork, and we thank you so much for this interview and for the space given to talk briefly about us. We hope to be back soon here with good news, in the meanwhile I'd like to take advantage of some last lines to invite you all to be driven by curiosity and look for Madwork: on our site (http://www.madwork.net) for the latest official news, in our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/Madworkband) to interact directly with us, even in real time, and on our YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/madworkmusic) to see our video clips and support the band in all the ways that you can !!!
Kind regards from Madwork!
