For the record, who's answering the interview?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
Mario Galdos

ATP
What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
Memory of a Melody; in an early version of the band we decided that we wanted to be melodic, yet memorable. The obvious stood out and we came up with the name Memory of a Melody. The vision of being melodic/memorable hasn't changed over the years so it continues to fit perfectly.

ATP

ATP
How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
Metal with Mass appeal; our style of writing mixed with clean and heavy vocals; chunky guitar riffs with solos throughout, and drums and bass that hit you right in the lower jaw are refreshing combined with the accessibility of our songs. There's a song for everyone no matter what style or genre you listen to.

ATP
What bands have influenced each of you?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
KoRn, Metallica, KISS, Iron Maiden, Alterbridge, Motley Crue; Deftones.... Just to a name a few. We pull inspiration from all sorts of places and artists.

ATP
How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
I would consider us extremely slutty. Not sure we're whore status being that I would consider a whore someone who goes out 365 days a year to get some. ha! (**This one was definitely unique).

ATP
How would you describe your shows?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
High Energy, High Impact time bombs just waiting to explode. If you don't get up and get off your ass at a \m/oa\m/ show then you're probably dead.

ATP
Tell us about your favorite show and why?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
The artist did not answer.

ATP
Tell us about your worst show and why?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
We had a show some time ago that was paying us decently. We needed to do it to get paid to go and play the rest of the shows on the run. The show got rained out and the only people there were the bar staff. Needless to say it wasn't a great show, but we made the most of it and had a great time entertaining the staff there and having a glorified practice. A few of them came out the following night and watched us play to a great crowd which made up for it.

ATP
Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
We've had the opportunity to play some pretty incredible shows, but if I was building a dream show it would definitely include some of the bands influences. (KoRn, Metallica, Iron Maiden, KISS, etc.)

ATP
Do you have a street team and how can you join?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
We do, you can sign up on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/memoryofamelody/. We're in the early phase of getting it going but want members who will spread the word of \m/oa\m/.

ATP
Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
We currently don't, and Although it would be nice to get on a huge label, in todays market getting on a HUGE label is almost non existent. I feel strongly that the only way we'd ever sign to a label is if they were able to provide us with something that we can't do for ourselves already.

ATP
What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
In a year, I see us touring heavily around the US and hopefully some parts of the World we haven't be to in support of the album we're working on now.
In 5 years I see us Having a successful Global Tour Headlining or some well known acts, most likely working on another album, and continuing the same work hard philosophy, but doing it on a FULL Time all the Time basis.

ATP
Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?
MEMORY OF A MELODY
Besides initially thinking of an Arm Pit; I definitely think it represents a battlefield pit, and just arming it with artillery that explodes.
