What is the title of your upcoming CD? How did you come up with the name?
ENDLESS RAIN
The title of our EP is "The Dark Kind of Art". It was named after alternative name of second song on release, "The flower of pain".

ATP
Is this your first CD and if not, how is this one different from the others?
ENDLESS RAIN
It's not our first release and it differs from previous in all senses. It's the "transition point" in our musical creativity. Also we worked with another studio remotely.

ATP
Did you write all the songs before going into the studio or did you write them as you were recording?
ENDLESS RAIN
All the songs was written before going to the studio, but in the process of recording we made some minor changes.

ATP
Walk us thru the process of writing your music?
ENDLESS RAIN
I think, the first thing is writing riffs. Our guitarist have many riffs that waiting to be inserted in absolutely right places in our music. Then the composition. From the different ideas we compile blank (is it right word?) of the song and then working on it. Riffs sometimes are changing accordingly to the drums. The bass comes after all other instruments and then we suffer trying to put the lyrics and vocals in the song)) It's a creative process and all of above is not a template.

ATP
Where did you record and why?
ENDLESS RAIN
For this release we used the services of two studios, one local and one on remote. The trouble was that all the people involved into recording had a different understanding of the sound of the final product

ATP
How did you pay for your recording?
ENDLESS RAIN
Money))

ATP
Did you have a producer or did you self-produce? If so, what kind of input did the producer have. If your self-produced, why?
ENDLESS RAIN
All songs are self-produced, because we don't have much resources to hire a producers and other staff. And we can do all without these guys. Our bass player also prefers DIY.

ATP
Did you try to capture your "live sound" or did you go for something else?
ENDLESS RAIN
As we mentioned above, all members of band have different tastes in sound so we just found a consensus trying to get mainstream sound on the one hand and on the other hand our live sound.

ATP
Did your record label have any input into the music you recorded?
ENDLESS RAIN
We are not signed to any label.

ATP
Are you pleased with the final product?
ENDLESS RAIN
It's good, but could be better. Maybe we'll decide to re-record the songs in the future. But now we are more interested in the opinions of the people who didn't get through all the recording process with us.

ATP
Where will we be able to pick up a copy?
ENDLESS RAIN
We decided to distribute our EP via web and free. You can download our songs from our reverbnation page or from it's application on our facebook page.

ATP
Will you be touring to promote your CD?
ENDLESS RAIN
No. EP consists from the songs that we've already played on our concerts and we do not plan to make physical copies. So we don't really have a reason. If we make a tour, it will be to promote all our music and to have a good time!

ATP
Would rather be recording or playing live shows?
ENDLESS RAIN
Live shows are more interesting than just sittin home/in studio and making thousands of takes (and we didn't made many takes - we all playing it live all the time) to make music that possibly will never leave a mark in history. The drive of live shows is the best thing in the world)) But without recordings noone can show his music to all the world.

ATP
Anything you would like to say to your fans?
ENDLESS RAIN
Have a good time listening to good music, live or MP3. Be young even if you already have grandchildren. Don't fear to communicate with us - that's always a pleasure for us. Support the local scene. See you~
~Arthur, the bass of Endless Rain
