For the record, who's answering the interview?
BLACKTEAR
I am, BlackTear, I am a solo rap artist at the moment and I run a radio show as well

ATP
What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?
BLACKTEAR
As a solo artist, I just go by my name and I came up with it trying to be different from the typical rap names that are out now.

ATP
So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?
BLACKTEAR
I am the solo artist and of course my position is Vocalist.

ATP
How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?
BLACKTEAR
I have been compared to different artists such as Joe Buddens, Beanie Sigel, Freeway and Jay-Z a few times but I would consider myself as a versatile artist in his own lane.

ATP
What bands have influenced each of you?
BLACKTEAR
The rap group State Property. Solo artists; Jay-Z, Biggie, Big Pun, Big L and Beanie Sigel, just to name a view.

ATP
How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?
BLACKTEAR
LOL running a radio station, hosting battles and doing performances here and there, I'd consider myself a whore.

ATP
How would you describe your shows?
BLACKTEAR
Far as live performances, I only try to go for the shows that will be beneficial. For example, I am on Rhythm & Bars based out of Michigan which has featured artists such as Twista. The show can be found on Youtube and it airs on Comcast/WADL 38 Detroit. Far as my radio show, BlackOut Radio, it airs every Tuesday between 10pm-midnight est and I have interviewed special guests such as Lil Fame from M.O.P, Mr Serv On from No Limit Records, Killah Priest, Ras Kass, Black Jesus from the Harlem 6, just to name a few.

ATP
Tell us about your favorite show and why?
BLACKTEAR
Its hard to pick because each one came with media attention and that's why I enjoy running my radio show so much because I get to interact with Industry certified special guests.

ATP
Tell us about your worst show and why?
BLACKTEAR
I don't believe any shows were bad because I matured each time I hit the stage. Same thing applies to my radio show hosting skills, each time I bring a different flavor to the broadcast.

ATP
Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?
BLACKTEAR
I'd like to rap alongside Jay Z and Sean Combs.

ATP
Do you have a street team and how can you join?
BLACKTEAR
Just a basic reverbnation page (www.reverbnation.com/blacktear), a BlackOut Radio fan page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/BlackOut-Radio/307834969411559) and my standard facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/black.tear.754)

ATP
Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?
BLACKTEAR
Not at the moment and yes I'm open to offers. I recently was offered a 1 year deal for 50k by a record label based out in New York that is working with Epic & Atlanta Records, but because of my experience I didn't think it was best to take.

ATP
What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?
BLACKTEAR
I'm constantly accomplishing daily by networking so I believe those goals will be accomplished ASAP.

ATP
Finally, do have any words on what Arm The Pit means to you?
BLACKTEAR
I appreciate the platform that they are giving artist(s) to display their catalogs/info on the website. I would be proud to co-promote the website on my radio show every episode if possible. Lastly, I appreciate this interview.
